Besides a french manicure, what shades of nail polish do women in their 40's wear?

Mostly toes, but fingers sometimes. I'm fair and don't know about the pearly ones.Besides a french manicure, what shades of nail polish do women in their 40's wear?
I'm in my 40's and I wear which ever colors that I choose. Of course, I stay away from the blacks, blues, golds, and other ';young'; nail colors. However, the traditional colors like shades of pink, shades of red, shades of white, and French are always good choices for women in their 40's.Besides a french manicure, what shades of nail polish do women in their 40's wear?
I don't think you need to be real concerned about your age..just choose colors that flatter your hands...dark colors usually look better on people with long fingers as they tend to make your fingers look shorter..so if you have shorter fingers lean towards the light/medium shades...or if you have shorter nails. You might like a neutral shade that goes with most everything--so think about the clothes that you enjoy wearing and keep that in consideration when you are choosing.
hmm, that depends what kind of person you are. most older women i know wear plain shades like red and pink while other older people i know wear funky colors like blue and green. it's all a matter of personality. if you think you are fit for the norm, i'd say red or pink (darkish pink, not hot pink). if you're one of those crazier people, go for the wacky neon. you could even go to a nail salon and get your nails patterened.
It doesn't Matter much!! Seriously!! Just don't put on neon and stuff, that stuff is just creepy. Find a color you like or colors for a certain outfit, or a pair of sandals. It doesn't matter what color, as long as you like it.
Experiment!!!

See what's you!!!
I light pink is always very classy!
