For you, I would suggest you get a nice pink color, not hot pink or anything, but a subtle pink. Also your coral idea was a great one. You can always be on the safe side with a french manicure. I wouldn't go far from earthy toned nail polish (earthy toned pinks and browns that is) Don't do anything wild like black, green, blue, silver, etc. You could also do a light red if you want to be bold. I think you are on the right track. Don't make the jump to red, but look at both the ';peach'; range and the ';bronzes';. This last one is the stretch you may need to make from living in a pastel universe. :)

yeah wearing nail polish constantly or for extended periods of time turns your nails yellow. like most things, your nails need to breathe. as lemon juice is a natural bleach, that can help, as does nail whitener. i know this sounds really stupid but dencher cleaning tablets work really well. get a couple of those and let them dissolve in a bowl, then soak your nails. it cleans them and restores the whiteness on the tips :)Does too much Nail polish Turn your nails like yellow?

Ok, since you've already used nail polish remover and it spread a little try soaking the pillow case in white vinegar and cold water. If that doesn't work dab a little hydrogen peroxide (only a little... as it is a bleaching agent) on it then rinse thoroughly. It does if its on too thick. try using nail polish quick dry spray. and apply a quick dry top coat. If you are using a blow dryer use the cool setting, heat will soften the polish.

It's not just you!!!! Glitter nail polish is so hard to get off! I haven't used it in a few years because it takes so long to get off.

not only does it take longer but the dings show much more than cream polish so you notice the wet longer. Good base coat key to good polish application. then two nice coats of color the trick is the correct amount of polish on brush. Too much and you flood cuticle too little and you end up dragging the brush through polish that is drying too fast because its too thin. Top coat can hide and smooth many errors in applying the color.





cuticle oil on wet nails is a savior. Instead of sticking and pulling polish making smudges. the oil makes it slick so it glides off. But 4 coats of polish honestly takes 17 hours to dry. So the day you polish your nails don't shell nuts or tile your floor try to avoid anything that will gouge them. get a strip of tape and press it onto your nail. rub the top of the tape with your other nail. this way you press the tape onto the polish. next rip the tape off and polish comes off on the tape.
Probably scratch it off, what works best is when you're in the shower, that way your nails are softer and it's much much easier for the polish to be scratched off. Nail files just ruin the nail.
Go in your garage and look for paint thinner or acetone that works for me. Or you if you have a still hands scrape it slowly with a razor in a direction towards you.

if you put your nails in warm wanter for a couple of minutes, that will loosen up the nail polish and then you can scrape it off with some soap
Wait until tomorrow and get some nail polish remover. Scraping it off or filing it off just thins your nail a layer.
Get a Cotton Ball. and Put Old nail Polish over the Nail and Quickly wipe it off. It works.

either it's too old, you put it on too thick, if it's a frost, those always take forever to dry, or it's just a cheap brand.
may not be applied thinly enough. I apply 2-3 thin coats of color over a base coat. Also, helps a lot to use a quick dry top coat.

Yes, even the scent of nail polish is highly toxic to birds. If a large dose is taken into the body, there is an extremely high chance the bird will die. The bird is very little, making chances riskier, BUT I think that the bird will be just fine because it was not a large dose. It may get a little affected during digestion, but the bird should be ok. Sorry for alarming you, but I just wanted to let you know that it is possible because birds are very susceptible even to the fumes of nailpolish.





I suggest that if any behavior changes/worsens that you need to take the bird to the vet.

It helps the polish dry faster and last longer. I believe the lab tries the polish out on animals before they test it on humans. Peta wrote an article about it once, if you want to check out their website. It doesn't come from animals, but it is harmful to animals and humans if ingested, so, if you like to bite your nails, you shouldn't paint them unless the polish doesn't contain these ingredients.
I don't know why they use it, but I know it is not good for you and it has most likely been tested on animals. I know Shaklee had a line of fingernail polish that did not include those, it was tested against OPI. There is still one color availabe till it is sold out. I think they are revamping the polish line. But the makeup is awesome also.

Acetone does not contain acid, nor does it contain alcohol. It is in fact its own compound. It evaporates very quickly at room temperature so if you put it on your face it would most likely just evaporate and not cause any irritation.

You'd probably dry your skin out really badly, plus burn it, which would make it bright red and peel-y like a sunburn--gross!
Well if you get it on your fingers they get dry, crack, and loose feeling for a long time. I wouldn't suggest putting it on your face.
After it drys on your skin I imagine that some of you skin would come off, and leave red marks.
I would imagine it would burn pretty bad...and become really dry and red. I don't know :P

China Glaze. That won't work to hide a tongue ring, it affects your speech and the barbell rolls up/down as you talk . Why not take it out and put it back in? Is it a new piercing?

LOL but i dont know just DON'T ADD WATER lol i've learned my lesson..and next time i'll just buy more polish lol

I think that may just be because I have used OPI (which is amazing, and I think if you want a nice nail polish, get OPI and not China Glaze) all of my life, but China Glaze chips much quicker, and has a thinner brush, which is harder to fully paint your nails with.

It is a good brand, but I just don't like the brushes which is just my personal opinion. They're really skinny. Maybe it's just because I was used to the fatter OPI brushes. But the polish is good quality.

its very unlikely you will get it from the polish because the main ingredient is ethyl alcohol which will kill bacteria and/or fungus. You could very easily contract and infection from the files/drills/buffers/ ect. you can purchase your own kit for probably around 5 bucks and they will set aside tools for use on only your hands. Its definitly what i would reccomend because many people contract staph infections from manicures and those can be very serious.Can fungus live in nail polish? i have had this problem for many many years and a podiatrist recommended tea tree oil. as it was cheap, i thought i would give it a go and wow, it works. i didn't really do it on a very regular basis but dipped a cotton bud or a piece of cotton wool in it and put it on when i thought about it 2-3 times a day often missing a day or two.





i would be inclined to give this a go and if perchance it doesn't work then you can try the one prescribed by the doctor which i doubt you will need.
Yes it does work. Have you tried 100% tea tree oil. It will also work over a period of time. It needs to be applied twice a day. It will actually absorb into the nail. The podiatrist do recommend this as a treatment for fungus. A lot cheaper as well.

I use to sale Mary Kay and their nail polish is great. Also My Mom is a Ret Nail tech And she ALWAYS used OPI. Both are great. Not chipping drys fast and one coat.
I have to say I've fallen in love with Victoria's Secret Nail polish. A base coat, two ultra thin layers of color and a top coat wont take that long to dry and are pretty resistant to chips. I use the top coat after going to the nail place just to keep my nails chip free longer.

Yes, black and dark colours are out. Try bright oranges, yellows, pinks, teals, purples...pretty, tropical colors. They are happy and bright and convey a summery feel. As fall goes on into winter, try going a bit darker, maybe back to dark purples, maroons, etc.

I do this all the time. Start with clean unpainted nails. Apply the stickers to line off where you want the white tip to be. Smooth the stickers out really well so there are no bumps. Then take white polish and lightly paint a streak of white across the tip of your nail. It is okay if you get some polish on the sticker. I like to paint one long horizontal stroke instead of vertical small strokes. Then wait at least 5 minutes and do another thin coat of white on the tips again. Now wait a while 20 min or so and carefully peel the stickers off very slowly. Now use a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover to clean up the nail if there is stray white polish that got out of the line. Then use a clear pink polish (sally hansen makes one) to go over the enitre nail. Done. It takes some practice so keep trying and you will get it.

your nails are like the rest of your skin in that they need to breathe every once in a while.
It shouldn't make them yellow but it can make your nails more brittle. also depends on the strength of your nails and the harshness of your remover.

There is no such thing as ';organic'; nail polish. Nail polish is mostly harsh chemicals that are synthetic/inorganic and therefore can't be made to be ';organic'; in the sense shampoos and lotions can be.





You can, however, buy water-based nail polish, which emits less toxic fumes. Its properties are somewhat different from conventional polish, and the technique is a little more sensitive (you can't just slop it on like you can the regular kind). However, it dries in a snap, and looks nice if applied well.

get some cheap shaving foam work it into the dry carpet with a brush then wash away all the foam. It works for me. if you have trouble breaking up the foam put a little vinegar into your water and it will help with the suds Good luck Debbie

put on a clear coat over the top... there is also a product to put on before you paint your nails which helps it last longer. don't buff your nails before you put on polish because that makes it come off faster. OPI is a good brand to use!
Get one of those square files that has both the shiner and thin grit together(at any drugstore). First take the thin grit side and file your nail good, then use the polish side until your nail is shiny. Then wash your hands. Do one layer of nail polish, then a second and finally use a good clear coat and make sure you let them dry completely. Works every time.
First apply 1 coat of nail hardener allow to dry, then apply 1 coat of polish allow to dry apply another coat of polish allow to dry again then apply a top coat allow to dry and apply another coat of topcoat. that should last for awhile. you can also apply top coat every other day to keep polish lasting for a long time.

easy, i did this once and it worked! alot! my friend told me this. you light a candle and u take a pencil or something thing that you can rub against something, when the wax is dripping down take your pencil and take some of the wax by the pencil then put it on your nails. and let it dry. you dont need alot, a little amount and then by the next couple of hourse of days you'll see it growing faster and much longer=]

Your fake nails will fall off easily, but it's not a real ';safe'; way to do it. If you want to remove them, soak them in acetone.

it is less harsh on your nails than acrylic because gel is porous therefore it still allows your nails to breathe. just make sure you look after them well and have them soaked off
