How do I keep light pink nail polish from looking streaky, even after two coats?

I just did my nails light pink today. The color is called Fiji, my favorite. Anyway, If you are getting streaks it means you aren't using enough paint. Don't be scared to use more nailpolish. If it leaks onto cuticles you can just clean it with a cue-tip dipped in nail polish remover. How do I keep light pink nail polish from looking streaky, even after two coats?
try using a darker pink mixed with a lighter pink; or use a top coat let it dry and than add another top coat! hope it works! ohhhh make sure u use a base coat also--- that will help alot! ps: make sure u dont put the first layer on to thick put the second layer on thicker! sorry i will stop talking! lol GOOD LUCK! :)How do I keep light pink nail polish from looking streaky, even after two coats?
Put a lot on! I am not kidding really like glob it on there and then remove any of the excess. Trust me it works. Just dont put more than would fit on the nail. You could also mix it with some white nail polish... maybe?
buy a better brand. good nail polish should go on in a thin layer and be somewhat runny. remmel nail polishes are usually not too pricy and are of decent quality.
you need good quality nail polish...like OPI

bad quality nail polish always leaves streaks.
i dont know if this will help but oh well... try putting one more coat %26amp; then get clear nail polish %26amp; put that over. sorry if this doesnt helpp!
or start with a base coat, polish, then top coat
Put on a clear top coat
put 1 coat on

  • What causes nail polish finish to bubble once it is applied to the nail and dries? How to stop it?

do you shake your nail polish before painting your nails? that's what makes air bubbles.

instead of shaking the bottle, roll it in your hands before applying it to your nails. What causes nail polish finish to bubble once it is applied to the nail and dries? How to stop it?
My experience has been that this happens if I am sitting ';under a draft'; when I paint my nails. For example, you don't want to be near a ceiling fan or close to an air conditioner vent. The air causes the polish to surface-dry too fast and it causes bubbles. Plus I also notice that polish doesn't dry as pretty once the bottle of polish starts getting too old and thick. But mainly I think it happens when you are getting a draft blowing on you while you're doing your nails. What causes nail polish finish to bubble once it is applied to the nail and dries? after you wash the oil off reclean with acteone to make sure there no oil left over, then use you base coat and apply your color evenly, never put one glob and try to use it for the whole finger, also try not to blow on them you can get a small nail dryer from a hair supply store for about ten dollars.
SHOOK IT TOO HARD. OR THE NAIL POLISH WAS IN THE HEAT. PLACE IN COOL SETTING. SHAKE GENTLY.

What is good nail polish color for younger teens?

My mother always thought it better to choose her own battles and nail polish wasn't one of them. She allowed me to wear whatever nail color I wanted, and especially encouraged funky designs. Sometimes if a color seems to be too ';dark'; or ';mature'; to some people, adding some lighter colored polka dots or stripes on top kind of cancels out the effect and just looks cute. :) You can also try adding nail-stickers like little hearts or flowers.

When I babysit girls I always ask their parents their feelings towards nail polish and if they have any guidelines before I come over because their child's appearance is something that is usually very important to parents and it's important to respect their feelings and standards even if they differ form your own.

Usually I think light colors, especially light pink, is pretty kosher with most people. I definitely wouldn't suggest anything dark red or black because that rubs a lot of people the wrong way. (even if it's your child and not theirs, some people feel that it just too mature for a younger girl.)

My personal opinion- you're only young once, let them have fun. As long as they aren't dressed like skanks or wearing incredibly heavy make-up, I don't think the nail polish color is going to make a huge difference, it's just fun. :)What is good nail polish color for younger teens?
Like, 11-13 or 13-15? If your 11-13, go for pinks, purples, maybe a orangy-pink, and your school colors, unless they are black. Anything girly. For 13-15 year olds, more bold and outgoing colors like neon green, hot pink, neon yellow, etc. They are more stand-out-ish, which is fun in middle school or high school, escipically if you have dress code. What is good nail polish color for younger teens?

It might be better without the top clear coat because sometimes if you have too much polish on it will chip off easier.

sure it is all paint, just one of them is clear

Can you put nail polish on the common wart to make it dissapear?

yes! you can but it will not work....

you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!

(No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda's. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices %26amp; fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit %26amp; veggies. Get up one hour early every morning %26amp; take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night's rest. Slack off too much coffee %26amp; tea.)

HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person's immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.

also you should use some herbal treatment!

in that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! it says that it is designed for Genital Warts but

it does not matter because warts are warts and wartrol works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly).

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.wartrol.com/?aid=749165

    good luck!

Working in health + personal experienceCan you put nail polish on the common wart to make it dissapear?
It won't work. Most wort thrive on moisture and darkness. Use light and heat to kill any wart. If interested on how, send me an e-mail for instructions. Can you put nail polish on the common wart to make it dissapear?
No, but Compound W and also some of the fast-acting cuticle removing gels like the blue stuff by Sally Hansen can be used for that.
yes it will cause it to rot lack of air

What is the best brand of nail polish that I can find at Walgreens?

Or makeup in general. Thanks! What is the best brand of nail polish that I can find at Walgreens?
The two best drugstore nail polishes are Sally Hanson and Maybelline. Trust me on this. I've tried everything.

As for makeup, it depends on what product you want. For lipstick, Revlon and Loreal. For eyeliner, Revlon and Loreal again. For mascara, Maybelline, Loreal and CoverGirl. For foundation, Loreal, CoverGirl and Neutrogena. For blush, Revlon. For lip gloss, Revlon. Pressed poweder, Revlon. Loose powder, Sally Hanson Cornsilk. For eyeshadow, CoverGirl. I hope that helps! Like I said, I've tried everything. What is the best brand of nail polish that I can find at Walgreens?

    nail polish is revlon
    Colorama 5-day stuff.

it might seem cheap but trust me

and i'm in chlorine alott and it stays on even through that.
I've found OPI hiding at Walgreens every once in a while..... but if you can't find OPI... the next best thing would be Sally Hansen.

When it comes to nail polish in a drug store, the higher the price, the better the quality is pretty much what I've learned from experience..
Rimmell's No Chip Nail Polish with Lycra. Lasts awhile at about $2 to $3 per bottle. Cheap and works! Love it!

  • Are there any tricks to making nail polish dry faster?

If I try to apply more than one coat of nail polish it seems to take a million years to dry and I always end-up with smudged nails. Anyone have any helpful hints? Are there any tricks to making nail polish dry faster?
There's some great stuff that looks like it's nail polish called ';out the door'; and you just brush it on and Wahlah!!Are there any tricks to making nail polish dry faster?
I always have a problem with getting my nails to dry fast without smudging or dents. I use Essie nail polish, its one of the best, its about $6 a bottle, but they last very long, and they dry with incredible shine. I always use the Essie Instant Dry Oil, its incredible, dries in about 2 minutes!

Put them in a bowl of ice water! Works Great!
after you finish painting them, put your nails in cold water.
    hairdryer on a low setting
u can try hair dryer / small fan
put in ice water or it never hurts to just blow them harder!
there are special sprays that you can use and they really work. they are sold everywhere that nail varnishes are sold. apart from that you can try putting your fingers in cold water as this speeds up the drying of the nail varnish.
Immerse nails in ice-cold water and it will dry faster and set better. Probably do this for about 5 minutes.
    blow on them
    Yeh, try blowing on them.
I swear this works. After applying, I dip my fingertips in ice water. Then eventually just wipe off the drops. It really speeds up drying.
go to Wall mart and buy mega Shine by Sally Hanson or brush on baby oil that works also.
Have some cute guy blow on them, while you are blowing on his........nails.
run your hands under hot water

I need help with wood stained with paper and nail polish remover?

So, i was painting my nails one nights in my room. And like a smart girl i put down some newspaper. But when i was done i peeled paper off my wooden desk and it stuck. I had to peel it of like i had glued there. My mom said it was because the nail polish remover and paper together would stick. And now it's like a really big stain across my desk and i wanna know how to get rid of it. Many thank you's!!!!I need help with wood stained with paper and nail polish remover?
Many nail polish removers contain acetone, a solvent used to strip finishes, and clean painting/finishing equipment.

It will continue to strip finishes for some time, until you've neutralized it.

(I've applied it to finishes and it was still stripping them 5 days later)

So the first thing you need to do, is get the remainder of the acetone off the surface. Try washing the surface with some cold water (use paper towels - the acetone will 'bleach stain' any cloth towels you try to use). What comes next depends on the desk surface, and finish type.

If this is a veneered surface, you may actually find the veneer bubbling/peeling off in a few days - you'll most likely need a pro to fix it then.

If this is a 'printed' type surface (such as a faux wood grain, melamine, etc), the ink will most likely be stripped right off - the surface itself should be in good shape though, even if it is a tempered hardboard, or particle board core. You've got the option of repainting the surface (woodgrain or not), or resurfacing it with another material, such as veneer, or laminate.

If this is a lacquer finish, you're most likely going to have to strip it, and refinish it. This 'could' be a DIY project, if you spend a little time learning about finishing techniques, etc. Any furniture repair shop would be able to fix it for you (many furniture stores will have a repair shop, or at least a repair person)

Feel free to email a photo of the desk, and further details to me, if you'd like to go over this with more specifics, be happy to walk you through it.

Good LuckI need help with wood stained with paper and nail polish remover?
Depending on how much ';elbow grease'; you wish to use, you could try a light sanding followed by clear polyurethane finish.

Use the 600 grit sandpaper, since it will remove the wood/finish slowly, and less likely that you dig into the wood too deeply. Just sand enough to get flat feel to touch. You should sand until you do not feel a sharp edge b/w the exposed wood patch and the rest of the intact coating.

For proper color finish you might choose a wood finish with appropriate color to your existing desk color.

Walmart: sandpaper $2, pint of finish $6-$12, brush $1
First of all you will want to try the linseed oil remedy. If it is a hardwood or softwood(not laminated) than this should do the trick. Purchase a real not synthetic sponge and soak it in linseed oil. Place the sponge atop the area of concern and let sit for about a day'. Remove the sponge and wipe/buff with a clean soft cloth.
