It varies. I've had some last years and others only last a couple of months! If it starts getting globby, mix a few drops of nail polish remover into the polish bottle to help thin it up.... supposedly! i'm pretty sure that you can keep them 3-4 years. sticking nail polish in the fridge helps it to be less ';gunky'; and makes it last longer!
i personally think they last for ages but most of them about a year.
